Dear All,
This is to alert everyone of a very grave situation that the
community must deal with. As you may know, John Murdock of
Epstein, Becker and Green has been busy rewriting a draft of the
Pacifica By-Laws. A draft of this has now been received by board
members.
Tomas Moran, who spoke in New York city at a Concerned Friends
of WBAI meeting this evening and is away from his e-mail, has
informed us that this document is of the very worst sort - designed,
among other things to expedite the sale of a station by allowing the
Board Executive Committee (criminal central) to dispose of
Pacifica assets on a "fast track" (my description) and to purge
dissenters from the board with the greatest of ease (my description)
A copy of this odious document will be posted in its entirety by
tomorrow evening, and a range of responses from us will be
needed. Our legal teams are reviewing the documents and will be
asking us to assist the struggle in a variety of ways.
Stand by to kick ass!
