Subject: {FP} FRIEND LETTER WRITING CAMPAIGN (IMMEDIATE ACTION)
We are doing a letter writing campaign to the PNB Houston Conference. Hopefully we can block the lobby with truckloads of cards and letters.
I'm hoping you have access to millions of outraged folks out there. Here is the solicitation I used. Feel free to adapt. TIME IS PRESSING THOUGH. We need these letters/cards at the latest Monday to reasonably reach Houston on Thursday-Saturday.
Please Post on your list ASAP!
Thanx, Fred Nguyen (New Jersey)

Here's what I just sent to the Board meeting. It's the list, put into paragraphs, and with my own emphasis...feel free to copy it whole or in part and send it along...you know they actually won't sit and read to see what our (good) arguments are.
Warmly,
Sydney

To the National Board:
As a loyal subscriber to KPFA I insist that your meeting reject any by-laws changes, including those drafted by John Murdock, which would permit the Pacifica board to commercialize and/or sell wbai or Any radio stations owned by Pacifica.
Decent management requires that you reinstate all fired and banned personnel at WBAI, and desist from firing employees without cause.
As a believer in free speech, and a supporter of Free Speech Radio, I demand The removal of programming censorship and gag order on WBAI producers, staff and volunteers.
I think it is time to cancel the unlawful lock out of the local advisory board and listeners at WBAI.
Because of their unscrupulous behavior, it is time for dismissal of John Murdock and Utrice Leid.
Listeners are demanding, today, the cessation of all relationships of any kind with EPSTEIN, BECKER & GREEN, a law firm which boasts of its anti-labor and pro-HMO record.
You are a Board meant to represent the Pacifica Community...Please respond to our clear requirements at this meeting.
Sincerely,
Sydney Gurewitz Clemens
