The firm also specializes in representing the HMO industry and, among other things, has worked to defeat the passage of the Patients¹ Bill of Rights in Congress. Epstein, Becker & Green is representing Pacifica management in its anti-labor and anti-free speech practices, from targeting Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman to suppressing web sites critical of the Pacifica Board. Epstein, Becker & Green is also defending Pacifica in three California lawsuits. The lawsuits are challenging the abolition of democratic structures at the network and the arbitrary way the Pacifica Board operates.
